Running my second marathon on Sunday 5/4/08, here in Lincoln... I am nervous but excited....no earbuds allowed! I'm cool w/ that, because the favorite moments for me are the unexpected things...like hearing someone out there hitting a bell of some sort, and me replying "More Cowbell!" or "bring out your dead!" or getting to hear encouragement or getting to encourage..... or just talking to folks about shoes or whatever on the route. I don't have any goal time. I haven't run w/ a watch for 6 months, just doing well established routes to a 3 song run/ 1minute walk routine on the shuffle, yes there are Dmusic folk that pop up on the list I make up..... when I hear Popdolls or Alex or Halaka or Kevin Fredericks or whomever... I tend to pick up pace.... Wish me luck.... weather should be good, should be cool, slightly overcast, no rain...and hopefully little wind.... may the road rise to meet me!
